I wish I had a mango tree
With a buzzing bumble bee
She'd sing some quiet songs for me
Up in that mango tree.
And in this mango tree we'd sit,
I in lace and you in knit
Fireflies the night sky lit
There where we would sit.
Then the morning could rise up slow
Still the lanterns all would glow
You and I would surely know
As dawn crawled up slow.
We'd know that when the new day came
We would never be the same:
In the trunk would stand a name,
Two, when morning came.
Eg hadde mango te kvelds i dag.
